Review on NOVAMAKER PLA Plus (PLA ) Filament 1 by Mark Howard

Very Impressed - Additive Manufacturing Products

I only bought this stuff because I wanted some red PLA (tired of PETG and glue stick). What I wanted to print shouldn't have been that durable anyway. Well I found this PLA+ for $14 per thousand so I decided to give it a try. It comes vacuum packed with a desiccant like most other filaments. ATTENTION Novamaker! Ditch the fancy embellishments and handles on the box and go with resealable bags, and plain brown cardboard is better for a number of reasons. Instructions on how to use cleaning floss would be nice. Prints great once you get the hang of it. First I started a temporary tower (which I do with every new thread). Well, I haven't noticed much of a difference at any of the recommended temperatures. It also mixes well with no clumps and zero strings. So I used the best possible temperature and the first layer seemed to separate in front of the nozzle like it was being pushed forward. Looking again at the makeshift tower, I noticed that the floor was almost perfect. So I tried to print again at 235°C, first layer 70°C, then 60°C, speed 50/35mm/s and the print was great. Printed on clear glass, released when cooled. Very impressed with it and would definitely buy it again, especially at $14.
