I use it to apply Mequiar's Hyper Dressing to plastic trim and tires. I'm going to cut the sponge in half at the thickest middle section and use the outer thin/sharp edges to quickly connect the tires along the wheel edge. Makes the application clean and tidy. These sponges are cheap and durable. I usually get 20-30 cars out of half a sponge depending on how many aggressive truck tires are made.
