There weren't any reviews for this Tesla Y-tent yet, but I wanted the car tent to be a perfect fit, so I took a chance. The good news is that this suits the Tesla Y very well as it came with decent tent poles and good tent pegs. It joins the Tesla Y very quickly. The price was good, but you get what you pay for. The biggest problem is that the zippers (especially in the fly) are of poor quality and not well thought out. There is a fusion of 3 zippers coming together in one place for a door/net/fly that just doesn't work very well. They had to attach the zippers to a piece of webbing to keep them separating, and they had to use better quality zippers (and might have had a little extra cost). These zippers do not withstand strong winds and show signs of wear even after a trial installation. Likewise, tent pole loops are made of very light fabric and are unlikely to hold up. Eyelets or webbing would be much better. These photos were taken after a quick canopy assembly, not when everything is cocked. We'll be going camping in about 10 days and I'll update this review with our actual experience with the tent (I'll take a spare tent/awning and repair supplies just in case!). I think I can get anything working with some swappable flashes and boost if we use this on the Tesla long term. I like the fit and the ease of installation. Update after 3 days hiking in Eastern Oregon: We enjoyed camping 3 nights at 3 different campgrounds. I think it still fits well and is easy to put on and take off. The tent pegs are of good quality. I hope V.2 of this tent will be made with some changes. There are some design flaws that one would love to fix and double the price. I still think the fly needs more thoughtful zippers and stronger tent pole loops. In addition, Velcro straps designed to roll up the door and grille should have additional Velcro strips that allow either the grille or the door to be rolled up. At the moment they are only meant to both roll which means there is no way the fly screen/door screen can roll on poles. In fact, the shape of rainscreen panels can be greatly expanded to provide many more uses. Now they act more like privacy screens and some shade but if they were twice the size and more trapezoidal so they could connect to the sides of the tent itself when the visor is deployed they would be a lot more useful and protective. . However, for the money this tent is very good. I may make some changes to it before my next trip and/or will look for an updated version in the future.
