For a real wood cane under $25, it's worth it! I've always wanted a lighter colored stick so I can appreciate the texture of natural wood. The stem is as thick as an AA battery and the handle is a good weight, giving you good balance when handling the wand. I love the carved hook on the handle that prevents the wand from "flying" when we wave the wand enthusiastically. There are multiple ways to grip this wand with its unique grip shape. You can rest your pinky, middle finger, or ring finger on the hook piece (I personally find it best to lean on the ring finger). And finally, this wand doesn't look too sinister as its carving is inspired by Voldemort's wand. In general, a beautiful wand in its own right :)
