Cap made of good silicone, "but" in some places it is completely impossible to poke holes with a hook. My inner palm ached badly from the effort required to bite into the hook's hole and handle. So I took my hat off and tried to make holes before using it, about 50% was hand made and I put the cap back on and it was still too hard to manipulate those holes again. I used hats before doing my highlights a few times between hair salons so this isn't new to me. This cap is very durable, good quality, but it was too much work, I got fed up and gave up.
