Terrible fit for a branded product

This is by far the ABSOLUTE WORST brake kit I have ever fitted. I'll start by saying that I've been servicing my cars, including the brakes, on my own for 30 years. + years. I have installed brakes on this particular car several times and have NEVER had a problem with this kit. I bought Delco pads for a specific reason. Having grown up with GM vehicles, I'd rather pay a little more to ensure the quality of GM's reputation. Either the processing of the pads themselves was inferior, or the equipment did not meet the technical requirements. To make matters worse, the skid plate was poorly installed by "snapping" onto the pads themselves. Most skid plates are heavy duty and bonded with pads. I've only seen this type of finish on rear pads, which endure much less effort and wear. After hours and thousands of curses on the people who designed this set, I've come to the conclusion that the only way forward is to use the clamps from the previous setup. Not recommended, but necessary. It wasn't much easier, but with less effort I was able to fit replacement pads. The machine now works as it should, but not without wasting hours of my time, blood pressure points, and a few nerves. I understand this is an old car but whoever has ever made this kit should check the original specs and kit them out accordingly.
