When I first received the duvet cover I liked the Fog Blue color so much that I bought one in Pale Blush (which I was planning to give as a gift) and another in Fog Blue (which I just bought canceled) ordered ). today - after seeing how the first duvet cover turned out after washing today. I first noticed a few tiny, shinier stains on the bedspread (like it's been lightly oiled - but ignored this because they were small. As I usually use a flat sheet (washed weekly) under my duvet cover, I never bothered about it Wash it. before you use it. Big mistake. Wash everything before the expiration date! When I finally got around to putting it in the washing machine, I smeared some Woolite onto the oil-stained area - making sure it was the washing would solve.Results: area with oil stain was still there, the cover was incredibly shrunk and the rest of the material looked dull and worn.Do you usually wash cotton materials that are made for bed sheets or duvet covers before dyeing and sewing?Finally trades they are sheets - they need to be washed regularly, be hygienic, apart from being duvet covers it's nic ht sense that they should not give cage? These special duvet covers need to be "dry cleaned" if you want to keep their appearance. How expensive, unsanitary and gross is it? That's not a silk blouse, those are sheets! Another thing, these sheets don't breathe! Why buy a premium pure down duvet for its warmth, breathability and lightness when sheets keep you warm? Luckily this is my first time buying a set of Molecule sheets (in blue) and I love them so much I'm about to order the matching duvet cover. It's not a cork for them - because they're overpriced and don't offer many color options. But what they have is high quality material and an elegant blue color. When I washed them as soon as they arrived, I found that they retained their shine, color and quality. They're also cool to the touch, hardly shrink and feel great against my skin.
