These are excellent wood screws. I bought them a few weeks ago and finally used them this weekend. I use these wood screws to hold the sleepers together as part of a retaining wall. The screw ate the sleepers and rotated cleanly, quickly and easily. I used a simple drill to drive the screws into the top of the tie. I then used a 3/8" ratchet with a 5/16" socket to drive the wood screws so that the top of the screw head was now flush. Only one screw broke out of 32 screws. Removed and replaced with a new screw, no problem. Great product and I will be ordering more as my project goes on. Nice to buy a great American product!
