I bought these to use in my spin classes. I sweat a lot and they help to keep the sweat from dripping on my arms and onto the bike or floor. They also keep my arms cool. I like that they absorb the sweat but do not feel wet while wearing them. I have only used them twice and washed them out in the shower, but I think they are great. I look forward to trying them on walks to wick the sweat away and provide SPF without having to layer on the sunscreen. I also plan to use them in the car while driving to avoid the dreaded "driver's arm tan!" The only complaint I have is the upper band that goes around the bi-cep. I have normal arms, nothing bulky, and they are only slightly snug, but enough of an irritation that I either pull them up higher, or lower to solve the problem. I ordered the grey color and it is perfect. I am sure I will buy these again when they start to snag or no longer stay up on the bicep.
