I wanted to connect my SiruisXM receiver directly to my truck's radio to improve sound quality and reduce exposed wires (I like 'clean' setups ). I used a direct FM adapter but had to find a cable to connect the adapter to my truck's existing antenna system (my truck is a 2013 Ford F-150 STX). I needed both ends (antenna and radio) and this product was the perfect solution. The connections were tight enough to eliminate any fear of disconnection from your car's vibrations. If you want to do a similar project, this is a great product to complete.
