Just returned from a 250 mile round trip hike in my 2008 F-150 STX 4X4 w/ 4.6v-8 8, K&N cold come back air intake 87 octane towing 2001 Jayco Quest camper weighing 5,200 pounds. Getting my car to 60mph was difficult because, to put it bluntly, the Ford 4.6 is not a powerful engine to carry a heavy load! I installed my tuner with no problems (make sure you update your tuner before installing!) by setting up the sensors. was very easy and after consulting Edge technical support it was recommended to always leave the tuner in the second mode, drag mode. We had a 15mph tailwind leaving our home in SD East and it was easy to accelerate and sustain 65mph! Fuel economy over a 125-mile downwind trip was 13–15 mpg. Before CS2 11 to 13 mpg. Cruising through hills, you can definitely feel the extra torque on hard pulls with about a 5-7 mph loss in speed compared to a 10-15 mph loss without the CS2. Today at home it was a completely different story! We were moving at 15 mph in crosswinds and headwinds so it was a bit difficult to get up to speed and my mileage was between 8.5 and 10mpg but compared to no CS2 it was day and night, and be let's face it, lugging everything in your head and a cross wind won't be very economical! Achieving and maintaining a safe speed is your goal! Being able to control the temperature of the transmission and coolant was sent down from God! Knowing the actual temperature gave me the ability to slow down to keep temperatures at an acceptable level and the way the Edge sets up those tuners so it can see when you're climbing and issue alerts , so you don't hurt your ride. , in my opinion, one of the best features of buying this tuner! Without connecting my camper, I significantly increased fuel consumption from 17 to 18.5, from 20 to 20.75! I was really skeptical about buying it, but I'll honestly admit that giving my little V-8 more power, better torque, fewer shifts and better mileage was worth it. If you are looking for a tuner that will help you pull better, give you the ability to see what your engine and transmission are doing, stop you from overloading the engine and help you improve your fuel economy, then this tuner will do all that and more! You will not be disappointed!
