I don't like working with plumbers but I know how. I bought this spout to replace an unbranded metal spout that looked really bad both in terms of styling and chrome plate failure. My old spout was screwed on so I unscrewed it. The existing nipple was too short for this spout, so I took it off and bought a nipple 1 inch longer. Then I take everything back. No problem. There are no leaks because I used "Plumber 101" elemental skills. If you don't have this basic knowledge, just hire a plumber. or ask your friendly neighbor who is handy. Looks really great compared to my old spout. highlighted.
