I installed them on Lifetime/Emotion Guster recreational kayaks, took about an hour total. I agree with other reviews regarding the included instructions. Just throw them away. For those who complain that the installation is difficult or the instructions are misleading. This is a modification to your kayak, be prepared to modify both the kayak and the rod holder for your specific application. I drilled the entire 2" hole, then oblong it with a rotary tool, I had to remove a few extra plastic tabs on the bottom of the rod holder, and finally for the fit and finish I used a heat gun to shape the rod holder . body of my kayak. I chose to use machine nuts and bolts instead of the rivets provided. They look and feel very solid from the factory. Will probably order 2 more for the other side of each kayak.
