I bought this sand to let my bored teens play this summer! The whole family loved it! We have had expensive Brookstone kinetic sand in the past. It's great and fun to play too, but it's a much cheaper version. Yes, it's a bit darker, but that's what we liked about it. My girls had a lot of fun crafting with it. I don't think more expensive brands would afford such hearty designs. My youngest is 10 so we don't have little baby hands that want to play with him. Perhaps a slimmer stand would be better for very young children. But if you have stronger hands in the house, this thing is a great option!
