This device works exactly as advertised. If you have a check engine light you can plug it in and it will tell you what's going on. With many codes you can also reset the code, for example you can reset the oil change indicator yourself after changing the oil. For more esoteric faults (like something with an exhaust system) you may still need to take it to a mechanic, but you can google the fault code first and get a good idea of what it means in layman's terms and how much the average repair will cost you feel stronger. This is a great tool for glove box storage.
- ➤ VIEW STILL IMAGE: When an emissions-related malfunction occurs, the OBD II system not only sets the code, but also records a snapshot of the vehicle's operating parameters. This feature can help you figure out what the problem is.
