Don't stay together, they crumble apart

This review is for: City Police Station & Mobile Command Center Truck Building Toy with Cop Cars, Police Helicopter, Patrol Boat, Best Education Learning & Roleplay Toys Gift for Boys and Girls Age 6-12 (2058 Pieces)I got this Lego block set for my son for his 8th birthday. He was very excited to trudge out and went right to work building one of the little vehicles. He says that the instructions are very helpful to him building the items and that they help him a lot. He gets very frustrated with this brands legos because they don't stay together well at all. While he's trying to construct them, they are falling apart as fast as he's trying to put them together. Unfortunately, once assembled, they are very fragile and handling the built creations will most definitely cause the creation to crumble apart. My son still enjoys trying to build them, and he says they aren't bad, but watching his hard work crumble breaks my heart for him.

Pros
  • Provides endless hours of imaginative play for kids
Cons
  • The toy may encourage children to view law enforcement as a glamorous profession, rather than recognizing the difficulties and risks associated with it

My son is a big LEGO fan, and he liked this set with a few cons. One of the sets was missing a piece, but had another piece in its place. He was able to make it work. Overall the pieces fit well, with just a couple being a bit difficult. The LEGO instructions are generally in book form, while these were in large pages. Easy to understand but a bit unwieldy. Also, it came with stickers, but with no instructions on where to place them. He ended up just leaving them off.
