I bought this to use a 2019 TV with HDMI inputs as a monitor for an old PC running Windows XP SP3. When I plugged it in, at first it seemed like everything was fine. It showed the start screen but Windows wouldn't start. Find out that the System 32 configuration files were corrupted and Windows just wouldn't start. It took many hours on the internet (on my phone, the only internet connection I have) and in front of a computer to get everything right. Luckily I had a second hard drive to boot from so I could use it to create a bootable CD from an ISO downloaded from the internet that I could use on my main hard drive to replace the missing config file with the one I created recover points. so far. I don't know if it was just my computer or a circuit in the adapter that caused the configuration file to be deleted. After the repair, I tried to reconnect the TV, but the same problem appeared. I used the boot CD again to recover my computer. The bottom line is that the adapter may work well for some, but not all. Buy with caution.
