Review on 🧽 Method Almond Scent Hardwood Floor Cleaner, Squirt + Mop Refill, Laminate & Sealed Wood, 2L Bottle, 1 Pack, Variation in Packaging by Nicole Slotnick

I used to enjoy using this product. Made my maple hardwood floors look beautiful (nice satin sheen) and the light almond scent was wonderful. But then I looked at the ingredient list and noticed that it contained a chemical preservative called DMDM Hydantoin, which is known to release formaldehyde. I have two cats so I am very careful with the products I use, especially my floors. I wrote to Method and asked them why they chose this preservative given their focus on non-toxic products. They actually admitted they could have used a safer alternative and said they were working on reformulating the almond product. But that was a few months ago and I don't think they ever did. So I reluctantly gave up this product and switched to a Lemon Ginger flavor that does not contain DMDM Hydantoin. Works well but I miss the nice almond taste.
