Knowing what to buy. Know the difference between different filter systems. I bought this water filter because I got a new coffee maker and I thought it would be great if I never had to descale my coffee maker again. I was right about one thing. I have no doubt that this is not water. This is good drinking water. You know it's pure water. Despite the lack of tds, Brita still tastes better. I'm probably used to that. The same goes for coffee. Zero water makes the worst coffee I've ever had. The site says you need to add a little unfiltered water for coffee. I wish there was a list of mineral supplements I could add to make the coffee taste better. The water jug has some problems when you use it for the first time. Water shoots in all directions. It stops the more you use it. Overall, this is a good water pitcher. It was a good experiment trying zero water in a coffee maker, but zero water is not what I was looking for.
