I use this L-Carnitine for its many benefits including increased energy, fat metabolism and improved cognition. I take this twice a day on an empty stomach or mix with water/juice/protein shake - no solid food - to absorb as much as possible as it is in powder form. I checked the microgram scale and made sure the measuring instructions are correct and I take half a teaspoon (about 1.5 grams) in the morning and then another in the afternoon for an energy boost. A note: There are some new studies showing that L-carnitine may be linked to high cholesterol, or cholesterol buildup. I'm still investigating and will update this review if I find more information, but for now I suggest keeping your cholesterol levels under control if you're taking large amounts (3 grams or more per day) of this supplement.
