Review on Intel Core i5-8600K Unlocked 6-Core Desktop Processor | Up to 4.3GHz | LGA 1151 300 Series | 95W Power by Su San ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied with the product, I recommend it to everyone.

Unexpectedly presented i5-8600t. Instead of sorting it out, I first bought all the components and assembled a PC. And then it turned out that it would not be possible to install Windows 7 and use it in full. At the very beginning, there was an option to exchange for an i5-6600t or something similar, but it's too late. If there are stable drivers for Intel UHD graphics 630 under Windows 7 64, of course I will demolish 10-ku immediately and return to an acceptable system.

Pros
  • Excellent processor with integrated video core, high performance, low power consumption, but only suitable for Windows 10. Switched from i5-661 first generation. According to my feelings, the increase in processor performance approximately fits into a simple formula for the ratio of the products of the number of physical cores to the frequency. In my case (2.3 * 6 ) / (3.3 * 2) - about 2 times, nothing more. That is, in different tasks, the increase is felt differently, from 0 to 2 times. The transition is justified mainly due to the fact that navigating the Internet has become very resource-intensive, and I use dozens of tabs at the same time and the OS itself all the time does something for someone that I don’t ask it to do and the further , the more.
Cons
  • There are no Intel UHD graphics 630 video drivers for Windows 7. A strange decision by Intel, they narrowed the market to themselves. This is a fundamental shortcoming. That is why 6th generation Intel Core processors are no cheaper than modern 8th generations.
