When they arrived they were a little smaller than I imagined. However when I looked at the details they were exactly as described. I bought this, paint, felt and a book for my daughter and it was endless fun. If you're trying to save money, you can skip the book (although it's really nice!) and just look for ideas from people with wooden puppets. Also, the paint set recommended by Revain wasn't the best consistency. My daughter's favorite is to use the bottled acrylic paints we got from Michael and Hobbie in the lobby. But there are countless things you can do with these little dolls besides making people. My daughter made bugs, little animals, ballerinas, a crib. Here you can have a lot of fun. :)
