Made a 2" live edge walnut bench as a gift, will be buying more. They are solidly made and strong enough to be used as a bench or table. They also looked perfectly aligned. Suggestions: Mark the holes carefully, squeezing them together as you mark, and use a drill press or drill guide and an appropriately sized drill bit, especially in hardwoods. Use a large drill bit to drill most of the way and finish with a large hand screwdriver to avoid stripping. A little too small and you may rip off the head or break the screw, too big and it won't hold, especially in soft wood, hitting full force with the drill/screwdriver is also a good way to rip them off.
