later I replaced my extra heavy rockcloth set with these. I was looking for something light like a cockatiel but couldn't find a color or pattern I liked and found them a bit pricey for such a simple dish. My family wore plastic for years because my stone clothes were very heavy and not suitable for children (now they are 9 and 12 years old). We've had them for more than a month, with no chips or scratches and very durable! Dishwasher cleaning no problem. They will get a little warm in the microwave, but don't worry. I chose them over melamine cookware (although they are very nice and strong) because MELAMINE CANNOT MICROWAVE! And most don't understand why. They are made from formaldehyde that gets into your food! This set was definitely the sweet spot between heavy/expensive rockcloth and cockatiel. I can lift 6 items into the upper cabinet at once with no problem while I was only able to lift 2 or 3 stone items.
