If you've ever swum in the Dead Sea, you probably remember the 'texture' of the water - water that feels slightly oily on the skin, but it's not. is a unique dense mixed mineral profile, nothing like sea water. I've never found it in other brands of Dead Sea salt, but a good handful of minera in a warm water bath brought that memory back to me - it looked so much like the original I was looking for dirt! You may also remember that a half-hour dive in the Dead Sea can make you feel like you've just popped a few Xanax pills - it's partly more oxygen at such a low altitude, but partly breathing mineral-rich air. I didn't think any of them could convey the true qualities of the Dead Sea. I now believe Minera is as close as it can get and is the only brand I will be using from now on. Finally, if you've ever swum in the Dead Sea, you'll remember that you were warned: DO NOT get in your eyes or mouth! This is also good advice for Minera. It's not "sea salt," folks, and it won't make "salt water." Use it wisely.
