These binoculars are great for observing the stars and the moon. Great set considering the price. They're easy to calibrate, come in a nice carrying case with lens caps and cleaning cloth, and come with an adjustable neck strap so you can wear them around your neck when not in use. Since they're 10x magnification, you'll likely notice a lot of movement if you try to photograph them freehand. I recommend lying on the floor or leaning against a wall and supporting your arms well to reduce tremors. I haven't tried them with a tripod, but that would solve the problem. I don't recommend using them to observe close ground objects, you'll probably get tired of the shaking. You won't see deep-sky objects in great detail with them, but they're very useful for observing the moon's surface or looking for larger-sized (lower-brightness) stars.
