Review on Wolf Tooth Components Remote Matchmaker by Nick Beck

Great product but not for Guide T brakes with Matchmaker

Great product. BUT they will not work with SRAM Guide T brakes. SRAM website states that the Guide has matchmaker technology. Revain's description reads "Type: 22mm bar mount, SRAM MatchMaker, Shimano I-Spec A/B, Shimano I-Spec II." Under the drop down selection it says SRAM Matchmaker X, I didn't notice the difference. Matchmaker and Matchmaker X = different. On the rail with the matchmaker, the lever is too high and needs to be pushed down just like the one to be replaced, not positioned, so you slide it almost under the handlebars like a derailleur lever. The T-rails have a 2-bolt clip that leaves no bottom "slot" for the Matchmaker hardware, while the other SRAM brakes are a hinged design that attaches with a 1-bolt = bottom Match mounting groove . Bottom line: If your SRAM brakes have Matchmaker technology and 1 trunnion bolt, this is for you. If your SRAM brakes have Matchmaker technology and a two-bolt non-pivot bridge, it will "plug in" but sucks horribly. Get a bar mount like I do now. waiting. I want to ride
