Review on Compact and Convenient: Vantec 4-Port USB 3.0 Bus-Powered Travel Hub (UGT-MH400U3),Black by Sri Wells

USB on Mac had its own problems. After looking through 4 brand new USB hubs from 4 different manufacturers, I finally found one that works perfectly with my mid-2012 Mac Pro! My main problem was that after I put my Mac to sleep, I randomly lost ports when waking up the computer. This Vantec port based on the VL812-B2 controller works perfectly! When I wake up the computer even after a deep 10 hour sleep, all ports come back every time! No more crashing hard drives. All the other hubs also had the VL812 chip but not the VL812-B2 with the latest 9095 firmware update and I think that made a big difference! Anyway, after tearing my hair out and going back 3 times just thought I'd share. The hub is made from beautiful extruded aluminum and has LEDs you can see. Completely satisfied with this product! Now let's see how long it lasts. There is also a 2.1A smart charging port that charges my iPhone 6 Plus very quickly. The only thing I would like to see is a switch. The power supply is also well built and puts out 5 amps of power!
