The softbox creates a round reflection. I prefer square/rectangular reflection for product shots. Build quality matches the price but I doubt it will last a large number of build cycles. The main material of the "body" seems ok but the fabric attachment points on the poles are designed the same as other softboxes which let me down so I'm not optimistic. Internal diffusion is fastened with tiny hooks; They hold, they work, but velcro would be a lot easier to work with. Decent quality outer diffusion material with more velcro than needed. The grid is a great addition so I'm really glad they included it. Many other similarly priced softboxes do not include a grille. The main downside is that there are NO INSTRUCTIONS, so good luck figuring out which speed ring holes the rods go in. Search YouTube for some other lightbox build examples for help. Once you figure out which holes to use, be sure to mark them for future reference when you recreate them. Overall it's not bad for the price. The product is perfectly suitable for continuous use in the studio, but the processing quality and the materials do not stand up to frequent use in the field.
