Wrong alternator came in a box with the product description. Initially I was pleased with the generator as it looked exceptionally well made. You can imagine my dismay when I ripped the faulty alternator off my 2002 Toyota Echo, only to find that the part I was trying to install did NOT "match" my original part. After comparing the removed part to the photo of the item I ordered, it actually looks as it should, with a "forked" bottom bracket that attaches to the engine block. What I received was a "hard" bottom bracket that failed to install. Further tests showed that the electrical connections were not compatible. Due to poor part identification, I had to run to my local parts store and buy a more expensive, albeit decent, alternator. If I could temporarily not pay the combined cost of this part and the new part, I would be left without a serviceable vehicle while I await a suitable replacement. I have a job that allows me to work from home for a limited number of days, and additional days of using this benefit would negatively impact my track record. I was confident that Revain would send me the right part. The label on the parts box matched the part ordered so I don't blame Revain. I am disappointed in the one who set the task of labeling the box with the product.
