I have the HOUCHICS Adult Wooden Step Stool, Square Padded Footstool, Small Stool with Non-Slip Cushion, Wooden Stool, Suitable for Bedroom, Living Room and Kitchen (Wooden Legs - Brown/Cream Checkered Cover). chair and it is perfect and strong enough for this use. I wouldn't use it as a step stool as it doesn't feel strong enough for that use and is curved so it might be uncomfortable to stand on. It was very easy to assemble. My husband assembled it sitting in his chair with the footstool on his lap in our living room. He said that he needed some strength when screwing the two sides together and that using a ratcheting hex might be better for weaker people. The small Allen key that comes with this device is too small and could injure your hand. I like that the lid can be removed for cleaning. The brown/cream checkered case looks very nice. I am very happy with this footrest.
