Excellent OEM replacement for interior use as well as for in-vehicle installation!

This greatly improved the signal quality. I removed the OEM retractable antenna and installed it, literally gluing it to the top of the scanner itself, and immediately the pops and transmission hiss went away and the sound from distant signal sources increased. Originally bought for my car and permanently installed there, I was amazed at how much better the factory indoor antenna is!
