Great value for money grinder

I have read a number of reviews of this type of grinder and wow people can be so picky. Here is some info on this grinder as our previous one was a Cuisinart which we have had for about 4 years. The chef does a great job. The touches are gentle, ranging from natural to almost powerful, fairly quiet (I took Cuisinart into the bathroom in the morning and closed the door so as not to wake everyone up, but no more), takes up a bit of space at a counter, and beans rarely get stuck . We like to use flavored coffee and the beans are usually oily and we had issues with the Cuisinart having to be pushed around a bit as we worked to make the beans slide down. No problem after a month with the chef. Now, a few people are complaining that the grind isn't even enough or that it's messy because of the coffee grounds splashing out. So if you have problems with grind consistency, you're too much of a coffee snob to buy a grinder for less than $50. Buy a professional coffee grinder for $300 and enjoy a super even grind. If you're having trouble spilling ground coffee on your countertop, buy ground coffee, or better yet, buy coffee at a coffee shop. If you grind something up into dust and transfer it from one container to another, expect a small leak. This is a great little grinder for those of us who are coffee drinkers, like to freshly grind our own beans, but are on a budget. My only complaint is that the funnel is a bit smaller and we refill every 3-4 days. It might have something to do with the lack of bean jam, so I'm more than happy to refill along the way. Happy brewing!
