Details below but bottom line this is the best drill I have ever had. something 1/2 inch. Up to this point in my life I had never bought an expensive drill; I've only ever bought a set of drill bits that I still thought were decent, from Dewalt, Milwaukee, or any other brand I knew. Within a week this drill has convinced me that every other drill I have ever bought was terrible, cheap, horrible and awkward to use. This drill drills 3" 1/2" perfect holes faster and easier than my old drill bits. Drill a pilot hole. holes are clean. I loved this nozzle so much that now I want to ditch all the other nozzles I have and buy a whole set. The 1/2 inch bit I bought does not produce sawdust, but fine wood shavings. It's not a problem, just different than the bits I've used in the past. After falling in love with this bit, I started using a 1/2 inch dowel instead of a 1/4 dowel in every project I could, simply because it was so much easier to drill with this bit. . This recently led to a very sad event. While hammering on the shelf, I accidentally pierced a 2 1/2 inch diameter steel screw. My heart sank the minute I met him. I thought I had just ruined the best and most expensive drill I have had in less than a month of use. I pulled out the racquet and to my amazement even the tip of the bit was in perfect condition. I'm happy not to be able to report any damage to my favorite drill. 5 stars, I absolutely recommend this drill!
