Worth the extra cost

Amazingly smooth drill bit. I had a cabinet hardware installation on white painted MDF that was flush with the cabinet door and the tie rod covered the 4mm mounting screw diameter by less than 1/2mm. I warned my client that there would likely be chipping from the 80+ holes to be drilled (and we didn't have touch up paint). I'm happy to report that there were no chips and the drill bit cut the last hole just as accurately as the first. I was impressed to say the least. The cost fully justified…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Don't remember

Without a doubt the BEST DRILL I have ever used! (1/2 inch)

Details below but bottom line this is the best drill I have ever had. something 1/2 inch. Up to this point in my life I had never bought an expensive drill; I've only ever bought a set of drill bits that I still thought were decent, from Dewalt, Milwaukee, or any other brand I knew. Within a week this drill has convinced me that every other drill I have ever bought was terrible, cheap, horrible and awkward to use. This drill drills 3" 1/2" perfect holes faster and easier than my old drill bits.

Pros
  • Pretty Packaging
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

I have been working with wood for a long time and bought some great solid head drill bits from my local woodworking shop many years ago. Used primarily for drilling holes for dowels, they were absolutely amazing drill bits. Every hole was perfectly round and absolutely clean. They worked very well and became "transition" bits whenever I needed to create a clean hole in an application that Forstner couldn't use. Of course, they faded over time and finally fell into disrepair about five years…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Disappear
