When I bought these I was primarily looking for thermal curtains and was quite skeptical due to the lack of traditional thermal protection. It's quite drafty in my house so no decision has been made as to the actual effectiveness of the thermal aspects, but judging by the cold weather of the last few days they seem to be doing a good job so far. The fabric feels great - I wish everything was made out of this material. It's super thick and blocks the light really well, plus it looks so pretty! I'm a fan of simple beauty and they fit that bill perfectly. Ultimately I'm very happy, I just hope they help keep my house a little cooler this summer.
