Thought it would be uneven. nope It fried really well. I thought it might taste funny. nope It tasted just like the Betty Crocker cake. It was very easy to use and very easy to clean. The cake fell out of the bowl right after baking. It wasn't a work of art (it's raised a bit unevenly and the texture of the surface was smooth in places and just a bit of the furry interior was exposed in places), but if you have a can of frosting you can finish it off a lot Nice. It uses half the cake mix so you can bake a second cake (while frosting the first) and then layer the second on top of the first and you have a two tier cake in about 15 minutes including freezing time. Don't forget the candles and you can throw a birthday party right away. I was very surprised at how easy it was to use. Even if I had an oven, I didn't have to wait to preheat and only wash one dish. and measuring cups are not required. Ideal for a youth hostel.
