I bought a pair of these to work with stored bikes but in the meantime I've had to replace the toilet. Works great for draining almost all of the water from the tank and bowl, with one caveat. When you stop the pump, about half a cup of liquid will flow out of the inlet. I didn't expect it the first time and the liquid ran all over my shoes. If it was a gas or some other volatile liquid it would be a big mess. A minor complaint is that the intake pipe is a hard - inflexible - piece of plastic, unlike a good flexible exhaust pipe. This limits its use. The toilet bowl, for example, has a flat bottom with open access - it works perfectly. The toilet bowl is curved at the bottom and lowered at the back, making it impossible to tilt the pipe for maximum liquid removal. Small maybe, but gas tanks for cars and bikes are never just big, open, flat-bottomed tanks. I'll experiment with adding a flex piece to the end of the intake pipe and see what happens. Finally, I'm never sure about the quality of the seals on these types of products, but I'll try fuel and see what happens. After expiration of time. Still a good thing to have in your toolbox.
