Review on 🔪 Fällkniven Dual-Sided Ceramic Sharpener by Jennifer Ford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly what I always wanted.

I've had a bad history with sharpening, but ceramic stones have always worked well. Having recently bought a nice pair of overalls and been fascinated with stuffing my pockets with tools, I wanted to find a way to sharpen my blades anywhere. I've had a lot of success with coffee mugs and achieved some of the best results of my life, so I decided to ditch the pantry and switch to a pocket-sized ceramic stick. While the shank worked great for knives with smaller bevels, it was obvious that when sharpening fixed blades with large beveled corners, mismatch would be a problem. As pocketable as a staff, this stone works wonders for any blade's edge if you know what you're doing. Barring a complete reprofiling, only the ceramic side can be used and should last for years. My hairless left calf is a testament to the stone's ability to quickly gain a major advantage. If this doesn't work for you, you probably just need a little more practice! Sharpening is a science, and once you fully understand what's going on with your blade, you can sharpen just about anything.
