great stone. in the kitchen and dining room

To be honest this is a great combination of gray medium stone (or rough stone from DC4) and fine white ceramic stone for a polished and razor sharp edge. To clean the stone, also use a cleaning powder (or toothpaste) from a trusted bartender and a sponge or sponge with a rough side. If I had to guess, the gray side is at least 800-1000 grit and the fine white side is 1800-2000 grit.

Pros
  • Always popular
Cons
  • High price

Great wearable stone EF

CC4 is a very thin ceramic stone. The only reason for the 4 star rating is that the final cut of the stone is not completely flat. The tool's jagged markings are clearly visible once you start using the stone. I have a DC4 diamond stone and used it to smooth the ceramic side of the CC4 so it doesn't look as uneven. This is a great pocket stone to help keep you ahead when traveling or off-road.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

I love this stone

I love this stone. Feels good in your hand, small enough to travel through the forest, takes up little space in your backpack but does great stone work. Makes my knives terribly sharp. Not enough to remove the nicks from your knife, of course. DC 4 is the next level in smoothness. I carry both with me when I go off-road. I found the DC 3 bricks to be too small for my liking, but I keep one in my survival sheath bag.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time

excellent pocket sharpening stone

This is the best brother of the ubiquitous DC4 stone (it seems to be CC4). It has the same medium-fine ceramic as the DC4 (black side) and a finer white side instead of the DC4's rougher diamond side. It can add a very thin edge to the blade, but cannot repair a damaged blade as quickly as the DC4 diamond side. If you don't hit your knives and they are made of high-quality steel, this might be a better option than the DC4 if you want to get them sharper. It is very portable and you will hardly…

A clean shave is best in the kitchen and dining room

This product is exactly as described. In terms of granularity I would say the gray side is around 800 and the white side is around 1200-1500. It is ideal for EDC base. I sharpened my Spyderco Sage (S30V) razor sharp in about 15 minutes. Keep in mind that using a smaller stone was an adjustment for me compared to others. Use of water stones. A 6k brick gives me a far from polished edge, but in my experience 6k looks cool but isn't as useful as a 1200-1500 edge. So go ahead and buy. You will be…

I loved it but like a little unhappy with the impossibility.

Having owned and used the Falkniven DC4 for some time and loving it as a sharpener for all my knives, I love it but am a bit dissatisfied with not being able to sharpen my knives well after adjusting the blade have the DC4, well now that I have a CC4 with essentially the same dark gray brushed sapphire impregnated side now sandwiched with a very thin white ceramic side I am head over heels in love with this sharpener! While you can certainly buff your knife blades with a belt soaked in…

Excellent product, highly recommended.

After many years of searching I have finally found the perfect combination stone for use in the field. NOTE: THERE IS NO DIAMOND ON THIS. THIS IS A DOUBLE SIDED STONE GRINDING SYSTEM. EXCELLENT / EXCELLENT. CC4 combines two of the best blade repair and restoration stones. The dark side is aggressive enough to fix a minor bug and take care of most dullness issues. The white ceramic side gives a mirror-smooth edge to all the blades I sharpen. The white side marks are from the steel being removed,

Exactly what I always wanted.

I've had a bad history with sharpening, but ceramic stones have always worked well. Having recently bought a nice pair of overalls and been fascinated with stuffing my pockets with tools, I wanted to find a way to sharpen my blades anywhere. I've had a lot of success with coffee mugs and achieved some of the best results of my life, so I decided to ditch the pantry and switch to a pocket-sized ceramic stick. While the shank worked great for knives with smaller bevels, it was obvious that when…

Universal field sharpener

It is absolutely sharp-edged. The middle side removes material quite aggressively. Fast enough to get a fairly dull edge up in minutes. The thin side brings the edge to a high gloss. The one I received has some ripples or a wood grain like pattern on the white side. It may not be necessary (or desirable), but I sanded my apartment. Bottom line, this is a sharpener for the field. There is a very nice razor sharp pragmatic edge, but it's very difficult to create a nice looking edge. practice will
