
I am very lucky that no one was hurt by these glasses. I'm a chef and have used these 4 ounce jars for egg bites and crème brullé. I lost a total of 10 doses in 2 days. I can tell you that these banks are definitely defective. When I lit the crème brûlée sugar I thought the burner hit the rim of the glass and the rim just broke off. After losing 5 in one night I quit with a flare. I know I didn't touch the rim at all. The second day I made egg bites, three of which exploded in my low temperature sous vide bath. After removing the rest I let them sit and as soon as I opened the lid the rim of the jar came loose too. Are you kidding me? These Mason Jars are HUM, CHEAPLY MADE. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AT ALL! The description says "good for canning". Absolutely not. Very disappointed in these glasses. I will never buy this brand again.
