Review on SAMSUNG SmartThings Hub 3rd Gen GP-U999SJVLGDA - Enhanced Connectivity, White by Robert Aiono

I don't usually write reviews but felt it was necessary to warn potential buyers about this infamous product. First, I've been in technology for over 25 years and used to own a home automation company. I am currently working for a global cybersecurity company and I think I will have experience installing a basic home automation product. First off let me say this product is absolute rubbish, stay away! If a company as mature and global as Samsung can't offer a deployment (setup) process that's simple and really works for the average consumer, then this space shouldn't be played! I bought a SmartThings Hub V3 so I can add some simple switches so I can automate my ambient lighting. I can't even get the hub to connect to my network. I have a basic home network that I use easily with other products like Ring. I can't even get the SmartThings hub to connect to my network. Strangely, the app shows the hub is connected, but the hub's lights are still flashing red and green, indicating that the setup process failed. It really shouldn't be that hard guys, stay away!
