I recently bought this after being bombarded with Instagram ads for similar (more expensive) Z heads. I've bought a few other products from Neewe in the past so I know it's a solid brand and the reviews confirm the build quality. BENEFITS: ♦ Solid construction with good materials ♦ Sturdy enough to support Sony A7iii with 400mm 400mm teleconverter 2X fully extended ♦ Connections can be tightened very tight with an Allen key ♦ Heavy enough to use as a tabletop tripod for a small format camera (eg RX100 , GoPro or full frame with small lens) CONS: ♦ No rotation, accidentally rotating the camera counterclockwise will loosen the mount and it will wobble ♦ Relatively heavy for a tripod accessory ♦ Bottom pivot screw is internal, can but not very convenient to tighten with a wrench ♦ The camera mounting wheel is only accessible when the Z-head is extended ♦ Due to physics and geometry alone, the Z-head will vibrate longer with a heavy lens/camera. All of this indicates that this is a quality product at a good price. Just understand your use case for it. I can envision using it as a stand alone mount for my RX100 or for downward facing macro photography for my larger full frame camera. I believe that for most other applications a ball head will make even more sense.
