Very strong: camera and photo

These are very strong and heavy aluminum parts. They have a mid-range camera feel where they are very solid but can be a lot lighter, smaller and easier to use. However, they offer excellent value for money.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • High price

Great standalone mount

While this pan head isn't its primary function, it's a great standalone camera mount that fits in my pocket. The tension was perfect for my Sony A6300 with a 55-210mm zoom lens or less. With a slight tightening, it supported my Nikon D850 with a fully extended 70-300mm zoom.

Pros
  • Consistent test results

Very good: tripods and monopods

It's a finely tuned mechanism, this Z head gives me the best tilt and angle my folding arm camera has ever seen! Full flexibility to shoot from any angle, fits my DSLR and the lenses attached to it, no problem so it's very hard work as the load can be heavy. It has 1/4 and 3/8 screw holes so it fits both rack sizes. Straight spirit levels no matter what as I can set it up with a spirit level. Smooth curves and strong support.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • there are flaws

Solidly built but understand your use case

I recently bought this after being bombarded with Instagram ads for similar (more expensive) Z heads. I've bought a few other products from Neewe in the past so I know it's a solid brand and the reviews confirm the build quality. BENEFITS: ♦ Solid construction with good materials ♦ Sturdy enough to support Sony A7iii with 400mm 400mm teleconverter 2X fully extended ♦ Connections can be tightened very tight with an Allen key ♦ Heavy enough to use as a tabletop tripod for a small format camera…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Try it before you get overpriced!

I'm really impressed with this. Maybe because I haven't tried the "more professional" class models, but I haven't spent close to $200 either. So far, so good. True, as in my case you have to tighten it up a bit to make it stay, I would say it's just common sense to use it the way I am. Tried with stars, macro, even rotated the camera 90 degrees for a vertical shot. It fits all four of my tripods with two different thread sizes on the base or sits flat and stable on its own. As you can see from…

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Nothing here
