Drill is awesome!

I thought this would be a great toy for my 2 year old daughter who enjoys 'helping' play with instruments and her dad fixing things and I was right! She immediately had a desire to turn the gears with a drill and was so proud that she "did it myself"! Dad was happy that the drill can be turned and not only inserted, but also released at the push of a button - just like a REAL one! Mom was delighted that the drill didn't need batteries. This toy has some really cool features including two double sided cards that fit over the holes and are interactive so you can learn colors and numbers while your child is screwing in the hammers/screws. On the front there are buttons that play songs, produce sounds and light up in different colors. Granted there are more realistic toy hammers and wrenches on the market but the ones in this set are simple and functional with screws/nails. Also. Because he dreams of becoming a "repairman" when he grows up, he has more realistic tools and building toys, but he still plays with them whenever the opportunity arises! He likes the cool reverse function and the ROAR of the drill, as well as the interactive maps. He used a drill to "fix" various things around the house. My 11-year-old daughter isn't a very hands-on person, but she enjoyed listening to the songs and getting familiar with the different features. Clip attaches to side for easier storage/organization. I think this toy will appeal to children of a wide age range and would make a fantastic gift. Two weeks later, they're still playing here every day!
