I tried it and it really works. The volume is very VERY low so you might miss the music in a noisy kitchen. The time isn't accurate and it doesn't work well unless in plenty of boiling water. If you are cooking pasta for one person, this may not work. The instructions show how to take it apart to clean it, but I don't see it being taken apart at all. Has the product changed? The battery cannot be replaced, once it is empty the item is unusable. This is a nice gift but overpriced in my opinion.
