A very good machine from a very reliable supplier. The picture is excellent, but the sound is muffled and not pleasant when using separate connections. The sound is only excellent when connected via HDMI. It also plays region 2 DVDs without any problems and identifies them automatically. Weaknesses: REMOTE CONTROL: Difficult to use, button labels are hard to see and don't have the standard labels for play, pause, slow and fast rewind, etc. The buttons are also small and the layout isn't intuitive, so you don't often press this button . The remote control requires a redesign. SEPARATE AUDIO CONNECTION: The instructions on how to use it were inadequate and unclear what it would do, which is why my original connection used it. Famous DVDs sounded muffled and the voices didn't sound like the performers we're used to. After our TV had been working well for a few days, extreme lightning events occurred lasting anywhere from a few seconds to a minute. Finally, when a situation arose where the flashes occurred with a difference of only a minute, I had to spend some time trying to track down the cause. I solved the problem when I disabled the separate audio connection. It has been in use for a couple of weeks and the problem has not recurred. This is a very good device with great features for a price that I would highly recommend if you can stand the remote control.
