This one works and I used it to add an extra smart key to my 2012 Prius"v". Even considering the time of the study, it took 15 minutes. The first one I bought was Fotga, which was also sold on Revain. I bought it in April and had to use it a few weeks ago. The first cable did not allow the program to connect to the car. I installed it on both an old Asus eee 32-bit Windows XP computer and a new Toshiba 64-bit Windows 8.1 laptop. The Toshiba laptop software kept asking for a new key. A connection to the vehicle could not be established either. I used a D-Click cable with Fotga software. The same result was with the D-Click cable. This prompted me that it was the Fotga software. So I uninstalled the software that came with Fogota and installed the D-Click software. SUCCESS. The software is connected and the machine is in RUN mode. It showed two OEM smart keys installed, five of which can be programmed. I clicked on the program, placed the silver Toyota logo on the start button, heard a beep, then within 30 seconds placed the NEW key in the same position. I heard the second tone. Then I clicked the mouse arrow through the accept button on the screen and got the accepted message. It was so easy. I added a third genuine Toyota smart key that I bought from an online Toyota dealer for $130 and a blank key insert from an online dealer for $2 with shipping. The new smart key is programmed perfectly. I ordered a blank key from a locksmith for $25. For about $160 plus the $25 I paid for the D-Click set, I got the NEW "smart key" set that the local Toyota dealership wanted for $550. Cut out the plug key blank and $100 to program a NEW smart key. Even if the programming fails, there will be a $50 fee. I know why some on the internet call them "theft". Finally I connected the Fotga cable to the software that came with D-Click. It worked well. You need GOOD software.
