I was cautious to buy these seeing the reviewer that took his apart showing an incandescent bulb inside. I have a switch like that and they get hot! You can't hold your finger on it long before it starts to burn. I was relieved to find a blue led with a diode in all 5 that I ordered. It doesn't get hot and should last a long time. I'm using mine for fog light switches in my explorer. The switch covers were backwards in all mine, I simply popped them off and turned 180 degrees to have the light at the top of the switch. That's just my preferance.
