For the money this is a manageable device. The torque is so great that when you step on the pedal, the motor spins so hard that it rips the shaft out of your hand. I had to mount mine on a board coming down from the ceiling and tie it with metal tie. It's louder than I would like compared to any others I've had. The pedal is a little tight, it takes some getting used to. The handpiece may become warm after prolonged use. Remember to lubricate the shaft well when you receive it. Pros: The flexible shaft is covered with flexible metal, not rubber. This part is amazing. I have been a jeweler since 1979 and now have arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome and this wand is taking the strain off my wrist and fingers. The grip is also very comfortable. Really for the money you can't go wrong but not sure how long it will last. Even my more expensive devices failed in just over a year. Will I order it again? Probably not, but for the price it's worth it, nice to have as a second or third backup.
